Brady Baseball Varsity

Brady Varsity claimed a 10 – 7 victory on Tuesday despite a big push by Early in the sixth inning. With the Bulldogs leading 10 – 0 with 2 outs in the top of the 5th, Early managed to prevent the game from being called early scoring off a triple to center field. Early added another 6 runs in the 6th to pull within 3. In the top of 7th with 0 outs and the bases full, the Bulldog defense dug in and ended the rally without allowing another run on the board.

Picking up the win, Tyler Vaughn led on the mound for Brady going 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 5 runs on 5 hits with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. Caleb Galindo and Gonzalo Morales provided relief. Morales recorded the save for Brady going 1 and 1/3 innings allowing 0 runs on 1 hit.

Bats blistered as Brady tallied 10 hits in the game while Early collected 7 in the contest. Dylan Raybion opened up the scoring in the 1st inning driving in 2 runs off a line drive double to right field. Kasen Baronet, Marshall Schmitz, and Raybion each collected multiple hits for Brady. Raybion was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 runs batted in. Baronet was 2 for 4 at the plate and Schmitz was 2 for 3 with a double and 1 run batted in.

The Bulldogs tore up the bases stealing a total of six bases. Baronet led the way with 2 steals followed by steals by Benjamin Galindo, Morales, Schmitz, and Vaughn.



On a windy Friday evening in Bangs, Brady defeated district leader Comanche 16 – 5 to move into sole possession of 1st place in district play with 3 games to play. The Bulldogs had a big 5th inning, driving in 8 runs to take a 10 – 4 lead. Brady tattooed the ball all night recording a total of 17 hits in the game. Defensively, the Bulldogs made several key plays to keep the game out of reach.

Walker Bauer went the distance and earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Brady. He surrendered 5 runs on 7 hits over a complete 7 innings with 2 strikeouts and 1 walk. Bauer dominated on the mound dealing with high wind gusts and blowing dirt throughout the entire game.

Brady tallied 2 homeruns on the day. Caleb Galindo drove one down the right field line in the 6th inning for an inside the park homerun. Kasen Baronet hit a deep ball over left field in the 2nd inning. Multiple Bulldogs led the charge at the plate tallying a team total of 17 hits. Tyler Vaughn went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, and 2 runs batted in. Dylan Raybion went 2 for 5 with a double, and 2 runs batted in. Baronet went 4 for 5 with a homerun. Galindo went 2 for 4 with a double, homerun, and 3 runs batted in. Marshall Schmitz went 2 for 5 with 4 runs batted in.

Benjamin Galindo and Schmitz led the game in steals with 2 each. Gonzalo Morales and Chad Cross each had 1 steal.







Brady JV

On Tuesday, the Brady Baseball JV lost at home to Early 8 – 3. Kelton Bernard led on the mound for Brady going 6 innings allowing 5 earned runs on 7 hits with 10 strikeouts and 4 walks. Cody Mc Bee threw 1 inning in relief allowing 1 run on 1 hit with 1 strikeout.

Brady fell behind early in the game and couldn’t keep up. Early took the lead on a home run in the 1st inning scoring 2 runs. Brady pulled within 1 in the bottom of the 2nd when Dylan Evridge scored on a passed ball. Four Bulldogs recorded hits for Brady led by Garrett Hill going 3 for 3 with 2 runs batted in. Zack Lozano, Brant Farmer, and Mc Bee each went 1 for 3 for Brady.

Hill led Brady in steals with 2 and 1 by Mark Valdez.



On Friday, Brady JV avenged an earlier midseason loss upending Comanche 14 – 12. Brady and Comanche went head to head in an exciting back and forth game that saw Brady claiming the lead in the top of the 6th after scoring 7 runs. Bats were thumping as both teams combined for a whopping 31 hits and 26 runs.

The Bulldogs were boosted offensively by Garrett Hill who went 4 for 5 at the plate with a double and 4 runs batted in. Anthony Cook went 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 doubles and 2 runs batted in. As a team, Brady scattered hits from 8 of 9 batters. Other Bulldogs picking up RBI’s for Brady were Cody Mc Bee, Brant Farmer, Ryan Medrano, and Colton Coleman.

Cook picked up the win on the mound for Brady. He pitched 6 innings allowing 6 earned runs on 17 hits with 7 strikeouts and 0 walks. Hitting the zone, pitched an impressive 71 strikes out of 108 pitches thrown.

Brady had 2 players record steals in the game. Mc Bee led Brady with 2 followed by Mark Valdez with 1.
