Bulldogs News · 7th Grade Football vs Dublin Lions

This past Thursday, the 7th grade Bulldog football squad traveled to Dublin and battled the Lions. The Bulldogs picked up their first win of the season due to a strong offensive performance by Zeke Jones and a fiery Bulldog defense winning 32-14. Jones accounted for 5 touchdowns on the day and Gatlin McBee added a 2-point conversion to account for the Bulldog scoring. Brady jumped out to a quick 12-0 lead early in the 1st quarter scoring on their opening possession followed up by a successful onside kick and long run by Jones.

Defensively, the Bulldogs were able to shutout the Lions offense in the second half of the game. It was a total team effort defensively as the Bulldogs were able to shut down the Lion rushing attack. Evan McMullin made a key defensive play late in the first half stripping the ball away from a Lion running back deep inside Bulldog territory and returning it 60 yards to the Dublin 2-yard line.

The lions will begin district play this Thursday on the road taking on Ingram-Moore at Warrior Stadium. Please come out and show your continued support for our 7th grade football squad.
