Bulldogs News · 7th grade football falls to Comfort

This past Thursday, the 7th grade football team hosted the Comfort Bobcats.  The Bobcats scored 40 unanswered points after Brady jumped out to a quick 16-0 lead in the 1st quarter.

After scoring on our opening drive, Zeke Jones kicked and recovered an onside kick which gave Brady the ball at midfield.  The Bulldogs found the endzone again after nice runs by Gatlin McBee, Daryl Adair, and Jones.  Once the Comfort offense took the field, Brady was unable to stop the jet sweep.  Tailback Zeke Jones accounted for 2 first half touchdowns and Gatlin McBee accounted for a 2-point conversion.

The final score was 40 – 16 but the young bulldogs battled through some adversity after losing a key piece to their offense and defense due to injury.  Aiden Fletcher and a few other athletes stepped up and helped fill in when needed.  The Bulldogs will look to finish the year with a win in Sonora this Thursday.
